Thoughts on the Season 2 Finale of Insecure

Finally, we were blessed with a longer episode of Insecure (15 minutes to be exact). In honor of that, I offer you 10 extra thoughts. Here are 20 spoiler filled short thoughts on the season finale of Insecure. 

1. Gentrification up in this Bish.

Issa walking through "I-wood" is me walking through my neighborhood every day.

2. I Don't Run, Unless I'm Being Chased

You'll never catch me at a marathon. I'm not about that life.

3. Hallucinations?

At first I thought Lawerence was hallucinating Issa. I got hopeful thinking he couldn't stop thinking about her and wanted her back. That clearly wasn't the case.

4. Okay Chef Lawerence

Lawerence really waited till he broke up with Issa to become useful. Okay. 

5. Trust

Issa really broke his heart. Lawerence can't even step into this relationship without his insecurities getting in the way.

6. I Can't with Chad

Chad is too funny. His one liners have been great all season. He really called Aparna Jasmine and I was so here for the shade.

7. Homie!

Damn Molly hit him with the homie! But are we surprised? We knew Quentin is not her type.

8. Live in the Could

Okay therapist with the word! Just when I was wondering when Molly would get back to those sessions. We all know she needs it. 

9. He Scores!

Molly was faking it in the could. She know she was thinking of Dro when she was with Quentin. 

10. Working with White Folks

You have to "make them comfortable about being around you." Ain't that the truth, Kelli. 

11. But Where is Tiffany Tho?

Derek told the guys that she was watching Due North with the girls but she texted Kelli saying she wasn't going to make it. Hmm...Season three is going to be Hella Messy.

12. I Hate Slavery!

Due North needs an online miniseries because these scenes truly give me life.

13. Goodbye Dunes

I love the vibe of The Dunes, clearly gentrification will change the dynamic of the place, but I'll miss the neighbors, especially Thug Yoda.

14. What Season is This?

Issa is wearing a summer dress and Lawerence is sporting a thick turtleneck sweater. I need answers. 

15. Closure

FINALLY! This is what should've happened in episode 1 but then again, we wouldn't have had this incredibly messy season. 

16. I Have Emotions

I literally yelped when he got on his knees and less than .25 seconds later I realized it was a fantasy and my heart was dismantled. 

17. My Heart Can't Handle This Right Now

What the heck are the writers doing? Are they trying to show us a future that will never happen (a la The Walking Dead)? I do NOT approve. I've been banking on Issa and Lawerence to get back together. I still am!! 

18. Issa's Brother!

We need more of Ahmal next season. That is all. 

19. Black Girl Magic Staycation

This is the staycation every girl and her girlfriends need. Every trip does not require a plane ticket and I already have my pinterest board put together. 

20. They Didn't Learn A Damn Thing

So moral of the season: Learn something about yourself and then throw it out the window. I don't understand Molly and her infatuation with Dro. It seriously bugs me. Issa needs to stop yo-yoing (I think I made that up) with Daniel. Picking him up and dropping him when she feels like it. I like Daniel now so she needs to stop playing games!
